Bioenergy Committee

The ASERTTI Bioenergy Committee works on a wide range of bioenergy research and technology transfer issues, including renewable transportation fuels (e.g., ethanol, biodiesel), bioproducts, agricultural energy efficiency, waste utilization, and distributed generation. The committee's activities include:

  • Sharing bioenergy research and technology transfer results;
  • Identifying state institution research and technology transfer priorities;
  • Facilitating coordination among the state and federal bioenergy efforts;
  • Developing collaborative public-private bioenergy projects; and
  • Promoting the bioenergy interests of state energy institution members at the national level.

Digester Performance Partnership

Under the ASERTTI Digester Performance Partnership project, participating members and U.S. EPA are working to achieve a generally accepted methodology for assessing the performance and financial viability of anaerobic digesters, allowing livestock producers, environmental officials, and public and private investors to make fully informed decisions.
