Energy Research at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL)

Energy-Efficient Building Systems Design Hub – A New Approach to Innovation

The U.S. Department of Energy's Energy-Efficient Building Systems Design Hub was recently announced and will receive $122 million over the next five years to develop technology that makes buildings more energy efficient. Located at the Philadelphia Navy Yard Clean Energy campus, the hub will bring together researchers from the government and academic institutions, including Penn State, Carnegie Mellon University, Princeton University, Rutgers University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Virginia Tech. This session provides a look at plans for this important new collaborative effort and the timing of major activities.
