NewsAugust 1, 2007Speaker Introduces House Energy BillYesterday, July 31, 2007, Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced the long awaited House energy bill. It is a very far reaching bill with a number of pending and potentially controversial amendments. The bill will be taken up by the full House in two days for debate. ASERTTI has not completed a summary of the lengthy bill, but there are many provisions of interest ranging from building and lighting efficiency to plug-in hybrid demonstrations to authorization of ARPA-E – a new federal technology transfer and break through research entity.
